Safaris in Tanzania/South Africa (11/17/2008)
|
Hi The Warners,
I've been to Tanzania on a safari (we also got engaged at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro) and saw the migration in the Masai Mara in Kenya.
What an awesome experience you are up for I loved the place, love it, loved it and whole heartedly recommend anyone thinking of going to go.
I guess one of the most amazing things I found was that you never know what you are about to see. In a zoo you say 'ok the lions or elephants etc are just in the next corner' and so you go see them but ...

[quote:fe0cdb1cb6="Sebba"]the classic route (BazBus route) is:
Jozi/Pta - Kruger - Swaziland - Hluhluwe - St. Lucia - Durban - Wildcoast (Port st. Johns, Coffee Bay, Chintsa etc.) - Port Elizabeth - Addo - Garden Route (Jeffreys Bay, Storms River, Plettenberg Bay, Knysna, Oudtshoorn, Hermanus etc.) - Cape Town

Mozambique lion warning (11/13/2008)
|
I remember reading an current news article in the local paper, when we were staying in Rwanda about six years ago.
A group of Japanese tourists had been driving thought a Kenyan game reserve and came across a group of lions asleep.
Obviously, being Japanese, they stopped and got out to take turns filming each other posing with the sleeping lions. If I remember correctly, according to the paper, two of them were lunch before the others managed to get back in the vehicle and make good their ...

Kenya/Tanzania Safari (11/11/2008)
|
No I imagine it's not that simple which is a pity as long as there were, as I imagine like the DMCA process would have, specific checks in place to guard aginst abuse.
That (the DMCA example) was the only thing I know of where a process such would be far easier than Tato having to pursue the matter in court which is no doubt a somewhat more time consuming and costly exercise even for something as straight forward.
Cheers..

When is 'busy tourist' season for Egypt and Tanzania? (11/10/2008)
|
Seasons vary a bit between North and South Tanzania and Zanzibar - the Rains are always the low times. In the North you can still mover about reasonably well but a lot of the southern parks grind to a muddy standstill in the rainy season. Enjoy!.

Water Low At Victoria Falls (Zambia Side) (11/09/2008)
|
Zambia has reduced visa fees, to $50 for all. And reinstated the Day Tripper at $20. That's effective Nov 7th.
So it pretty much seems like Zambia maybe the side to stay at, and just go over to the Zim side to see that side of the falls..
